Lumsley
Lookout

A hilltop retreat above the Nashville skyline — built for gathering, for stillness, and for a view that never gets old.

The Estate

Perched on the ridge, twenty minutes from everywhere.

Lumsley Lookout sits atop a hill above Goodlettsville, just north of Nashville, looking southeast over the treetops toward the distant lights of Nashville and Hendersonville — close enough to reach downtown in about twenty minutes, far enough up the ridge to forget the city is there at all.

The house takes its name from Lumsley Fork, the small stream at the property's entrance. The estate itself spans 33 acres of wooded land, giving the house complete privacy with no neighbors in sight or earshot.

The house was built for gathering, whether it's a weekend or a longer stay: a pool deck at treetop height, a wellness wing with sauna and gym and screened porch for slow evenings, and enough room for a family reunion, a wedding weekend, or a quick escape from the city.

Every window was placed for the view. Built in 1991, the house still carries the architectural character of its era — vaulted ceilings, bold lines, a statement chandelier over the entry hall, and interiors with a warm, retro charm throughout. Every room earns its place in a house made for gathering.

Location

Close to Broadway. A world away on the hill.

Lumsley Lookout sits on high ground above Goodlettsville, a quiet, rolling town just north of Nashville — the skyline is visible from the pool deck on a clear evening, and downtown is a short, easy drive away.

The long private driveway climbs through the trees before opening onto the house and grounds at the top of the hill. The property spans 33 wooded acres in all, with Lumsley Fork crossing near the entrance — there are no neighbors in sight or earshot, just the hill, the woods, and the tree line. A short walking trail near the entrance winds through the woods, an easy stretch of the legs before or after a day in the city — deer and other wildlife roam the property freely, so don't be surprised by company along the way.
